Smurf
An experienced player on a new or someone else's low-ranked account. Easy to spot: the enemy on their "first games" somehow gets 20 kills.
Slang
Origin
- The name came from older online games where strong players hid behind Smurf-themed names so nobody recognised them. Valve fights smurfs, but the word is alive.
Example
- "12 matches on the account and perfect last hits. Definitely a smurf."
